WI, MN, CA, NY
Born and raised in Superior, Wisconsin, I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I earned three degrees there in English Literature (BA, MA, PhD).
My scholarship has focused on literature of the 20th Century, broadly speaking, with a particular concentration on the work of Christopher Isherwood (see Scholarship).
My professional career has been in public higher education, where I have taught and been an academic administrator for over twenty years. After nearly a decade in Southern California, I am now Associate Dean of Faculty at Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY) and an adjunct instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University.
